Welcome message:

We are proud to highlight the vital role that International Medical Graduates (IMGs) play in the field of Internal Medicine, particularly here in Florida. With nearly 50% of our Chapter’s membership made up of IMGs, we recognize the importance of providing a space where you can grow, connect with peers, and amplify your voice.

Your contributions are invaluable, and we want to support you at every stage of your journey. Whether you are a residency applicant, resident, or early-career physician, our chapter is committed to providing leadership opportunities, mentorship, and guidance. We know that IMGs often face unique challenges and disparities when navigating their careers in the U.S. healthcare system, but you don’t have to face them alone. We are here for you.

Our Chapter is actively expanding this vibrant IMG community, offering mentorship, networking opportunities, and educational resources tailored to your needs. ACP has also developed a comprehensive toolkit filled with valuable resources for IMGs—whether you’re applying for residency, seeking to grow your professional network, or adjusting to U.S. healthcare and culture.

We are excited to offer webinars focused on Residency Application Strategies for IMGs and sessions on cultural competency to help you thrive in the U.S. healthcare system. With a growingly diverse patient population, IMGs are essential to providing culturally competent care, and your voice and experience are more important than ever.

Join the ACP Florida Chapter and be part of our amazing IMG section. We need you to help us continue expanding this passionate and diverse group!
