Women in Medicine

Our aim is to provide a platform where women in medicine can find a supportive community, mentorship, and opportunities for networking outside of the workplace. We understand the unique challenges that women face in medicine at all levels- from medical school, to residency, to the professional workplace. We aspire to bring women together to share experiences, collaborate, champion quality of life and work-life balance, and encourage relationship building. Our goals include receiving input from women in medicine to learn about which issues are most important individually, and to provide opportunities for collaboration and networking that include initiatives highlighting women’s issues, workshops and educational resources, and opportunities to connect via social/artistic events at conferences, webinars, and professional meetings. We promote participation from all groups, assuring representation of all women and encourage compassion, professionalism, support, and personal growth to champion women in medicine and the growth of Internal Medicine as a whole.
